Stressing

Stressing tie rods and bridge hangers is the process of applying a specific, calculated tensile force to them, often using hydraulic jacks, to introduce a permanent state of tension (known as post-tensioning or pre-stressing) which enhances the stability, load-bearing capacity, and durability of the bridge structure.

PHL Heavylifts provides  lifting/lowering strand jacks and site services.

  • Bridge construction.
  • Installation of off-site manufactured (OSM) modules.
  • Skidding of structures.
